|  | RECENT AND CURRENT PROJECTSOwner's representative for new construction of Arts/Music building, half court gym and Black Box theater attached to existing historic registry buildings at the Foote School. Consultant for pre-construction services, value engineering and cost containment. | Ten year capital improvements plan for the Children's Center School in Hamden, CT.. Analysis of existing conditions and facilities needs, cost estimating and prioritization of projects. The school consists of six large brick and wood frame turn of the century colonial style buildings and is the oldest child care organization in the United States. Roof replacement of all low slope roofs and lead paint removal for all exterior trim took place in the summer of 1998. Renovation to the interior of a newly acquired Tudor style structure for change of use from residential to office took place in the summer of 1998. A feasibility study for dormitory renovations was completed in partnership with Fletcher Thompson Architects in the Fall of 1998. Renovations to the first residential unit were completed in winter 2000. Planning for new construction of dormitory/art rooms to be started in spring 2002. |  | Design consultant, and owner's representative for planning and construction management for numerous projects for CARP Inc. (Liberty Community Services) from 1997 to present. Work includes office and residential projects in historic structures.Ten year capital improvements plan for Berzelius Secret Society at Yale University, including analysis of existing conditions, facilities needs, feasibility study, general scope of work, code review and estimates of cost . The limestone tomb was built in 1908 and designed by Don Barber. Specifications for the roof replacement were completed and bid. Roof and exterior cleaning tests were begun this spring.Mock-ups and materials testing for Dwight Hall and Chapel at Yale University for Superstructures Architects. Work was completed in the fall of 1999 and included descaling and sounding of the brownstone façade, various mock-ups including masonry and polymer based restoration mortars, brownstone dutchman, consolidants and various cleaning techniques. Mock-ups were also made with various wood epoxies. | Ten year capital improvements plan for Scroll and Key Secret Society at Yale University included analysis of existing conditions and facilities needs, scope of work, specifications, estimates and prioritization of projects to meet goals of the Building Committee to upgrade the structure for code compliance. Installation and replacement of the HVAC system was completed in the summer of 1998, restoration stabilization and masonry analysis was begun in the fall of 1998, Fire and Safety systems installation was competed in 1997. Masonry restoration and roof replacement was completed in November of 1999. This sand stone building with blue stone courses was designed by Richard Morris Hunt and built in 1868 with additions in 1891. All work has been performed by Guild members. Interior conservation work is in progress. |  |
| Envelope survey, analysis and recommended work with associated cost estimates for The United Church on the Green, considered to be one of the finest examples of the Federal period. The meeting house interior has remained without modification for 185 years. Work includes the steeple, slate roofs, brick façade and walkways, fenestration and repairs to the bell. Current. |  | Five year roof replacement plan for the New Haven Colony Historical Society. Existing conditions analysis, scope of work, specifications and cost estimates are complete. Phase I for roof replacement returning to original copper design and phase II replacement of the rear roof with an SBS hot applied modified bitumen system were completed in the fall of 1997. Phase II was completed in 1999: replacing the modified roof at the portico with copper as was original. Work to the cupola and windows is in progress. Owner's representation, supervision and construction management are included for all phases. | Restoration of the exterior and roofs of 962 Chapel Street in New Haven. Analysis, scope of work, specifications, estimates and construction management of full restoration of terra cotta façade, construction of a new mahogany store front, replacement of the copper gutters and repair of the tile roof. The building's façade was designed by Shape and Bready in 1914. All work was performed by Guild members. The building received a 1997 award from the New Haven Preservation Trust. |  | Modification and design guideline recommendations for the National Trust for Historic Preservation. The project reviewed numerous turn of the century urban structures in the Dwight Historic District and made recommendations for construction and design techniques, material selection and modifications or changes to The Secretary of Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties. The Architect was Robert Grzywacz and the materials and cost estimating consultant was Leland Torrence. Work completed in 1998. Existing conditions analysis, recommended scope of work and cost estimating for the exterior and interior of the Shubert Theater. Consultation and development of project schedule and job sequencing and subsequent modifications to meet last minute budget cut backs and time constraints for the 1997 renovations. | Existing conditions analysis, recommended scope of work and cost estimating for the exteriors of three buildings listed in the Historic Resources Inventory. Located on College Street in New Haven all three structures received awards from The New Haven Preservation Trust. Specifications, supervision and construction management were provided for this restoration project. |  | Yale China Society - renovations to offices and conversion of first floor to office and gallery in 1892 structure. Interior design by Jack Terrace of Accentrix. Contracted and completed in the spring of 1998.Owner's representative, construction manager and supervision for complete roof replacement for nine buildings at Whitney Woods Condominiums. All copper flashings and a four ply built-up system for all low slope roofs. Work completed in summer and fall of 1998.Adaptive reuse of Historic Inventory Structure from Mercantile to Assembly for National tenant. Owner's Representation, construction management and supervision. Architect David Moore, AIA. Completed Spring 1999.Existing conditions analysis, recommendations, scope of work and cost estimates for two Historic Registry buildings for the City of New Haven, Connecticut. Completed spring 1999. | Owner's Representative and General Contractor for replacement of structural steel, pointing and patching of 1921 precast Gothic facade. Related copper and slate repairs.
